Art on Zoom is an online art club for over 50’s which was set up in partnership with Age UK Bristol in September 2020. Since January 2025 the group has run privately and is facilitated by Amy Powell with people paying for a the sessions they attend. We are a productive and prolific group who have exhibited and have printed artwork for sale on cards and calendars.
We meet from an hour and a half over Zoom to make art. There is an optional theme selected by the group which we work on for a couple of weeks at a time. We cover a mixture of still life, landscape and art involving people.
We are a lovely supportive group with people from all sorts of art backgrounds. Some participants had not made art since school while others have worked as artists. We all appreciate having the time to make art with others in a relaxed and uplifting way. All are welcome and are encouraged to progress at their own pace.
The sessions are structured to give time to get stuck into making and have opportunities to share our work to get support and encouragement. To help keep in the flow and focused we listen to music selected by the group.
The group meets from 10.30am to 12pm on Fridays. Each session costs £12 or £8 if you are on Pension Credit. People only pay for the sessions they attend.
We run on a termly basis. The autumn dates are below.
September 26th
October 3rd, 10th, 17th
November 7th, 21st, 28th
December 5th, 12th, 19th
